ABSTRK, born Enrique Mastrapa, is a self-taught contemporary and graffiti artist hailing from Miami. Born in the 1980s, he grew up during a pivotal time for Miami culture, carrying the essence of its street scene. His key influences include graffiti, streetwear fashion, Hip-Hop, and Cuban-Miami culture.

ABSTRK's body of work is highly diverse, featuring many different styles—from traditional sketching and canvas paintings to large-scale murals and 3D sculptures. His personal signature, and a particularly captivating aspect of his work, is the frequent inclusion of eyes peering through his art, always staring back at the viewer.

A respected and highly sought-after artist in Miami, ABSTRK’s work can be found everywhere: from the Miami-Dade Courthouse and museums to Wynwood and the busway on US1 in Cutler Bay. You can find his masterpieces and quick tags alongside those of other local graffiti heavyweights.

His influence even expands into the fashion industry with his footwear brand, VRTX, available in large retail stores such as Billionaire Boys Club and Survival Miami. Not only does he have his own apparel brand, but he has also collaborated with Miami-based brands like Tango Hotel to bring his artwork to life in clothing.

Overall, ABSTRK is a hardworking, versatile, and humble artist whom Miami holds in deep respect. Here at Sakaeru, we support ALL things Dade County.
